Fly recently launched a good looking and cheap handset DS 181. This handset features standard features with attractive looks. It weighs 88gm and has dimension of 115 x 49 x 9.9mm with TFT screen supporting resolution of 240 x 320 pixels at 262K colors.
It consists of a 2.0 mega pixels camera which is capable of capturing quality images at price range but lacks flash. It can also be used as a webcam after connecting to pc. Video recordings can be done with 320×240 pixels at QVGA quality. For connectivity it bundles Bluetooth with A2Dp, so images and music can be quickly transferred to other devices.
Phone internet supports GPRS but no EDGE, that’s surprising. It also has a FM radio to fulfill entertainment needs. To accommodate your data storage its external storage can be expanded with a max of 8 GB memory card. But its internal memory is only 502KB. So buying a memory card is mandatory. It has a 1000 mAh Li-Ion and provides up to 9 hours of talk time, up to 100 hours of standby time.
My Verdict
This is a very basic phone. It can suit your needs only if you are looking for a phone with basic capabilities like standard camera and music at low price range. It has dedicated music buttons which add some points to its support. The battery backup is also impressive considering the price range. If you use internet on phone, then better ignore this model as it does not even consist of EDGE. It has no java support so there will not be much support for external games apart from those already provided.
