Orkut is not allowing to hold more than 1000 friends with an account.That is you want to create a new account when your friends count reaches to 1000.Here is the trick to add more than 1000 friends with your account just go to - http://www.orkut.com/Invite.aspx.
Now Enter Email Addresses to add as your friend(s) - Make sure the members are active on orkut.
Enter the captcha.
Submit
Now, You will see option to add the profiles as your friend just select all the check boxes and all the profiles will be sent request automatically
